Our cut
Slow fashion also means functional!
There are many reasons why we have opted for a raglan cut, both for the octopus sweaters for adults and for our kids' sweaters:
A good sweater knows no gender. The raglan cut in particular is ideal for unisex cuts.
In adults: Whether broad or narrow shoulders, a lot or little chest. The sleeve seam, which starts at the front neck, ensures that there is freedom of movement, especially in the shoulder and chest area.
For children: It doesn't matter whether it's in daycare or school, during sports or at home. The cuddly fit and the freedom of movement that is guaranteed at the same time are the result of the cut of our octopus sweaters. The seam of the raglan sleeves we use starts at the front and back part of the neck cuff.
The missing seam on the shoulder does not restrict the child's movements. This special feature of the raglan sleeve allows the octopus to grow up to four sizes.
The fashion industry usually only reproduces the so-called standard sizes. It is cheaper to produce a large number of small-size garments instead of also offering marginal sizes that are less in demand.
If the demand for a size falls, the manufacturers' interest in investing in this product also falls.
Clothing is then not made to meet a basic need, but to serve the need that is most in demand.
And last but not least: We simply love the raglan cut!
Inclusive
fashion for everyone
Even if our octopulli covers a few needs that conventional fashion doesn't cover thanks to its cut with few seams and sleeves that can be rolled up, we're still a long way from reaching our goal as a label when it comes to "inclusion". We are working behind the scenes with experts on further product options in order to be able to offer our fashion to as many people as possible.
You like our products, but they don't fit your needs? Let us know. We appreciate your constructive feedback.
